Thanks a million for taking time to read this. Since you are here, I'll get right to the point.
I recently listened to Tim's podcast and you're a very impressive person with an equally impressive story. I'll add that I'm a fellow "journaler" and amateur student of the stoics, clearly inspired by Tim.
I'm in SMU's Executive MBA program, which I'm doing to build relationships before leveraging my experience into the next chapter of my professional life. Our Leadership class has tasked us with interviewing six people we admire for their leadership style. The objective is to get more understanding about their approach and attitude towards leadership and I'd like to ask if you'd consider taking 30 minutes to do a brief interview?
I recognize you get a lot of requests and have many demands on your time, so this is a long shot. But we miss 100% of the shots we don't take, right? I'd love to share a style of leadership that is unique with the class, notably because I strongly feel like the emphasis you've put on leadership style - and the culture it creates - has been deliberate. And I also feel like real leadership and culture is under-appreciated in business school because it can't be easily quantified. I'd like to share it.
While I'm in Dallas, I travel often and I'd be happy to find a time that's convenient to buy you coffee, or if you'd prefer we could do phone or even email.
I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this and hope to have the opportunity to chat. If you are willing to connect for this interview, please feel free to connect with me below. I've included my contact information below as well.
Many thanks for your time,
