Culture has to be changed, not fakedDec 04, 2020
Allowing toxic cultures to persist in a sales organization is disappointing.
Pretending the culture is something else is frustrating.
Marketing it as something else for recruiting is infuriating.
Some sales organizations spend more time trying to make their culture SOUND good...
Than they do taking actions to create a legitimately great place to work.
Core values, ping pong tables, and fancy videos of the CEO referencing cutlure may help recruit some great people...
But without respect, healthy communication, engagement, empowerment, fairness, professional development, growth opportunities, teamwork, collaboration, authenticity...
You won't keep them very long.
And you'll do more damage having misled people.
If your culture doesn't stand up to your competition...
Don't fake it.
