Do not motivate, build a team that is motivated from within

Sales leadership is not about constantly "motivating" your team.

It's about building a team of capable people that are motivated from within.

And clearing out the BS and obstacles that distract them from executing.

Hire the right people.

Get the BS out of their way.

Shield them from politics, drama, and distractions.

Let them do what they do.

Be available and offer support.

And coach them to do it better.

It's amazing how motivating it can be to have the freedom to simply do your job and not deal with distractions.
