Familiarity is an obstacle on the way to success

We're pretty damn adaptable.

Hell, I’ve adapted to random iguanas in my house.

But getting used to things isn’t always good.

When I start working with a new business…

It’s pretty common to find they’ve gotten used to things.

  • Departments not playing well together.

  • Band-Aid solutions in operations.

  • Different people doing things differently with no process.

  • Firefighting problems without solving the real problem.

  • Less than stellar product reviews, Glassdoor ratings, etc.

Familiarity makes it difficult to see what needs to change.

Or sometimes even believe it CAN change.

But if your business is stuck…

Real change requires real change.

Challenge the status quo.

The fact that it’s been done that way…

May just be the reason the results are what they are.
