Sales isn’t always about sales

At dinner w/kids last night, we heard something WILD.

And not in a good way.

Lyrics to a country song from the 60s that, well, let's just say you have to look really, really hard to find online.

Not-so-subtle racism in a way I didn't actually know existed.

From a singer named Johnny Rebel.

At a beach bar in a small retirement town in Baja.

My wife and I looked at each other - shocked.

And then at our kids to see if they were paying attention.

Neither of us are easily offended.

But this just floored us.

Needless to say, the experience wasn't great.

Neither was the soup.

And unlikely we'll be back anytime soon.

But..

This seems like a fitting place to highlight something I often say:

You can experience problems with sales...

That have nothing to do with sales.

Getting to the root of the problem is key to turning it around.
